Defeating Pungyang grants Taekyung a lot of experience points and completing the quest rewards him with the effect of Full Recovery. As a consequence, all internal wounds were healed and his condition stabilized, allowing his body to accept the new energy and completely absorb the Flame Spirit Pill, gaining 45 years worth of cultivation and acquiring Solar Qi. After defeating Pungyang, Taekyung used Excellent Blade Medicine and Ten Year Knotweed as first aid on his brother, until they received reinforcements from the Hao Sect. Mukyung and Mubaek suffered serious internal injuries and are being taken care of someone from the Hao Sect.
In his own chamber, Mujin gives him a shoulder massage, when Seowol requests an audience with Taekyung. She kowtows in gratitude to her saviour and graciously accepts the invitation to the Jin Family's new year event, completing the quest Yesterday's Foe, Today's Friend. As an apology for the past, she also agrees to transfer all land management rights to the Jin Family. In addition she offers the sword and foot techniques that her father created, together with Uncle Cheol's Sura Annihilation Technique, three peak level martial arts books, in exchange for Taekyung's hand in marriage.
