Inspecting the corpses has piqued Jopil's interest in their murderer. His subordinate reports that they've spotted eight figures, who seems to have abandoned their horses a day prior. Mount Heng Sect disciples tries to order Jopil to regroup with the main forces, however he claims he was merely comissioned, not ordered. Annoyed, he kills the disciples, before continuing the chase.
Taekyung and his group find a cave where they seek shelter for the night. Taekyung and Yachung stays up to keep watch, and Yachung comments how different Taekyung is from the rumors, before coughing up blood as the bastards had laced their weapons with posion. As his last request, he entrusts the kids to Taekyung.
