Taekyung deals with the assailants single-handidly, and finishes off by killing Sando in one blow. Afterwards, they recover Yachung, who tells them how Shuozhuo district fell. By the time the messenger bird arrived, the district had already been besieged. About 100 mercenaries brutally massacred the people and burned the buildings. Thanks to the district leader and his faithful warriors buying them time, Yachung was able to escort the women and children to safety through a secret passage. However, upon learning of their escape, Jopil led 30 men in pursuit. Initially, Taekyung wants to face them to level up more, but he turns tails upon hearing of Jopil's gruesome reputation. When Yachung asks for his name, he tries to be smart by giving out an alias, but his plan is thwarted by a furious Mujin yelling his name. After they've moved on, Jopil and his group comes across the corpses of their comrades.
