Among the Bandit leaders, Pungyang stands out as particularly strong and cunning, making him a formidable and sophisticated opponent.
Abilities[]
Taking the power burst pill[3] of the Trickster Demon, Pungyang becomes an (although imperfect) swordmaster.[4] He was at level 85 at the time of defeat.[1]
Background[]
He was born a beggar, and his dream is to climb to a position of power by becoming the head of a martial arts clan. He betrayed the Mount Heng Sword Sect and attacked it in order to achieve this dream by force.[2]
In one of the numerous tombs hidden on the vast plateau, he found two martial arts scrolls, called Crimson Blood's Eleventh Sword and Crimson Blood's Heart Technique, and a box containing five Power Pills. Upon discovering it, he killed his servants, claimed the loot and began training in secret. Thanks to his abnormal growth rate, he reached the peak level in just 2 years, and realized he had mastered the arts of the Trickster Demon Transformation Technique. Though he couldn't care less, since Might Makes Right in the murim. He returned to the plateau, and quickly decimated 2 gangs, taking their place. The martial arts of the Trickster Demon can be learned as an attribute, but it was limited and it seemed impossible to grow any more without supplementing the shortcomings with other martial arts.[4]
Just in time, the Mount Heng Sword Sect declared war on the Jin Family of Taiyuan. At first Pungyang was hired by Lee Chunbaek after being promised the martial arts of the Jin Family.[4]
