Despite being a high-ranked hunter, Kim is cowardly and lacks mental strength. When faced with dangerous situations or powerful monsters, he is quick to panic and is usually the first to run away, showing his lack of experience and bravery.

He and Won Myunghoon were similar, his hunter rank was mainly due to the fame he built through the entertainment industry and the extensive lobbying done on his behalf.
Background[]
Myunghoon apparently took him in when he was nothing and groomed him. Although Myunghoon is technically his senior, Donghyuk is aware that he lobbied for his rank and that they weren't that different from each other when they first met.[1]
