Hong Chunsoo is an old acquaintance of Jin Taekyung and one of the victims of the Sangdong District Gate Incident and Jin Taekyung's sworn brother.

Hong Cheon-su was a warm-hearted veteran hunter in his thirties with ten years of experience. Jin Taekyung met him during his early days as a novice hunter when Cheon-su saved him from being killed by goblins. Since then, Taekyung called him "brother."
When asked why he was so kind, Cheon-su simply replied, "I keep seeing the young one suffering. You have a younger sibling just like me." However, Taekyung later discovered at his funeral that Cheon-su was an orphan with no family.
His final words, "That cheeky kid. Taekyung, you go first," stayed with Taekyung, a reminder of the brave and selfless man who left behind a wonderful companion and three children.
